I still remember clearly, it was a day after Christmas when a friend came barging into my room with swollen eyes. It wasn’t far from my hometown and my mum was somehow unreachable, the phone couldn’t get through. It was a nightmare. To think that it’s almost been eight years. It still feels like yesterday.
