No, I did not have too much time on my hands then. Originally, I wanted to see just one, Undefeated (a documentary on American Football team called Manassas Tigers). Oh yes, it was precisely why I wanted to see it, the name of the team. Initially, the question that popped up was, “How do you pronounce Manassas? As in man-arses or in menaces?”
Anyway, for some reason, I got there a bit too early so I decided to check out another documentary recommended by a friend, Buddha’s Lost Children. She had told me to set no expectation. Okay. Maybe that was why I found it passable at best.
A few minutes later, I got to see what I came for and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the whole documentary. I was let down for a bit by the end of it as I got too caught up and mistook it as some sort of football drama (yes, that’s what happens if you’ve watched The Blindside, Friday Night Lights, Gridiron Gang, Remember the Titans and some other football movies). But it’s alright, I guess.
The last documentary was Marley. Oh yeah. I’ve a confession to make. I only know one, just one, of his songs. No Woman No Cry. So clearly I didn’t know what I was doing there. Nothing more to say. Peace out.
